Updates

New and changed features, grouped by date.

Spot practice, heads-up turn solver strategy, and a more accurate review plan

  • Spot practice is now open in the Game tab. Pick only the situations you want, such as single-raised pots, 3-bet pots, 4-bet pots, blind battles, multiway pots, and short-stack all-ins, and play them in runs of 10, 20, or 50 hands.
  • In spot practice you can choose your seat, IP and OOP position, stacks, and opponent tendencies. When a session ends, we summarize each decision as solid or worth a review.
  • For heads-up turn decisions, as well as flop decisions, the review and the coach chat now explain the solver strategy behind them.
  • We replaced the preflop baseline chart for 6-handed, 100BB play with no ante, with a chart solved by a solver.
  • In tournament games, a hand where you only made preflop decisions can be reviewed right away with your chart and a short note, and then you move on to the next hand.
  • More opponents at the table now show their tendencies. About half of the seats now have an opponent marked as loose-aggressive or tight-aggressive.
  • The review plan now judges how strong your hand actually is on the board. For example, on a board with four cards of the same suit, it does not treat a low flush as a strong hand.
  • We no longer recommend a line you only use occasionally as the plan for that hand or as a similar choice.
  • We created the notices, update history, and roadmap pages.
  • Your free daily uses now refill automatically at 0:00 Korea time. You no longer need to press a check-in button.
  • The poker first-steps courses can be played without credits.
  • The home shows today's remaining free uses and your plan status, and after you pay you go straight back to where you were.

Multiple tournaments in progress, solver strategy, and a review that starts with the plan

  • You can play several tournament games at the same time. You can keep up to five unfinished games, and continue each one separately.
  • For heads-up flop decisions, the review and the coach chat explain the solver strategy behind them together.
  • Each review decision is now read line by line in this order: plan, this hand, then your choice. Tap an underlined phrase to see the default plan and the reason a better choice exists.
  • The review also tells you the plan for what to do on the next street.
  • In Lock my tendency (beta) in your profile, if you choose tight-aggressive, loose-aggressive, or exploit the opponent, the review also shows you which lines to take to play that tendency.
  • We expanded the baseline charts to more stack depths. Charts for 6-handed and 9-handed with a BB ante, heads-up at 35BB, 6-handed at 12BB and 20BB, and a 6-handed 60BB chart have been added.

Install as an app, coach chat archive, and contact us

  • You can install Slowplay AI on your phone and computer like an app. The home screen at the top or Install as an app in your profile shows the steps for each browser.
  • You can archive coach chat conversations, reopen them, rename them, and delete them.
  • You can send a message to the operations team from your profile. In the coach chat, you can report each reply.

Multilingual support and a level test report

  • You can also use Slowplay AI in English, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Filipino, and Simplified Chinese. The coach's reviews and replies come in the language you choose.
  • When a level test ends, the report appears on its own page. For each missed decision, it explains the reason, what you did well, and your play style.

Poker first steps course, a 16-hand level test, and copying review images

  • We placed three Step 0 poker first steps courses for people new to poker at the very start of the curriculum.
  • If you have experience, you can start with a 16-hand level test. When it ends, we recommend courses in order of the most missed decisions.
  • You can review past level test hands from your profile.
  • When a hand ends, the coach review starts right below the result. Ranges and play history are folded into a single line.
  • You can copy a review as an image and share it.
  • In coach chat, you can look up past hands by seat, hand, or result and ask about them.

Phone screen fit, short-stack all-in judgment

  • Every page now fits to one size, so nothing is cut off or overflows on small phones.
  • Short-stack all-ins and calls against all-ins are judged by stack depth.

Depth-based baseline charts, reasons for other choices, continue from home

  • Preflop judgments use a baseline chart that matches the stack depth.
  • In review, the other choice now includes why it is better, based on this hand's cards, board, and opponent line.
  • The first button on home reopens the play you were doing most recently. This covers level tests, practice, and tournament games.

Remaining stack display, quick preflop evaluation

  • The seat row always shows the remaining stack, separate from the bet.
  • When a hand ends on a single preflop decision, the result now shows right away whether it matched the baseline chart.

Open your hands in coach chat, copy review

  • In coach chat, you can open recent hands and saved reviews to ask about them.
  • You can copy the full review or a single spot as text.

Separate concept learning and practice, different choices per decision

  • Each course is split into concept learning and practice. Concept learning moves one screen at a time through picture cards and check questions.
  • Every course has a newly written study guide that beginners can read.
  • In review, each decision shows a better choice or an equally good choice in one line.
  • In tournament games, a hand with only one decision ends with a short review and moves straight to the next hand.

New curriculum

  • The curriculum is rebuilt with 50 courses. Each course has you play 16 to 30 hands in a set situation and repeat the same judgment.
  • Courses covering post-flop play start right on the street where the previous action ended.

Table view, BB and chip switch, hot zone

  • The table view now draws the felt and rail, and a guide on how to read it sits below the range chart.
  • Amounts show in either BB or chips, and you can tap the pot to switch between them.
  • In the hot zone, you can play the SB and BB blind battle for 12 hands, alternating between the two seats.

6, 8, and 9-handed tables, unknown opponents, opponent range during play

  • You can play at 8-handed and 9-handed tables, not just 6-handed.
  • Unknown opponents with hidden tendencies have been added. An unknown's tendencies only show through their actions.
  • During play, tap an opponent's seat to see the range that opponent could hold.
  • When a hand ends, the revealed cards and result appear first, and then the coach reviews it.
