1. Availability and seller

You can buy paid credits, Slowplay Pass and the Founder 10-year pass only when, after you log in, the Credits page shows the product, the price and an order button. If there is no order button, purchasing is not available, and no order or charge is created.

When paid credits, the Pass and the Founder pass are on sale, Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”) processes the payment as the Merchant of Record. You transact with Polar on the Polar payment screen, and Polar handles billing, taxes, order confirmations and receipts, and payment-related inquiries. The operator is responsible for granting credits, for the benefits of the Pass and the Founder pass, and for providing AI features.

2. Nature of credits

Slowplay AI credits are a prepaid service unit for features that require AI character and coach processing. A credit pack (paid credits) is a one-time purchase. It involves no recurring payment or automatic renewal, and it is kept without a fixed expiration date. The only products that renew automatically are the Slowplay Pass and Slowplay Pass x2 subscriptions, described below under "Canceling Slowplay Pass". The daily free allowance and free credits received through coupons are granted without payment, so they are not eligible for a refund.

Credits are not chips you bet on poker hands, and they do not increase or decrease with wins or losses. You cannot transfer or sell them to other users, and you cannot exchange or withdraw them for cash, virtual assets, goods or prizes.

3. Withdrawal of credit purchases

  • You can withdraw from the purchase of the unused part of the paid credits you received with an order within 7 days of the payment date (or within 7 days of the grant date, if the credits were granted later than the payment). If you have used none of them, you receive a full refund.
  • Credits are digital content that can be divided into units of use. Credits you have already used are the part for which provision has begun, so withdrawal is limited for them. This limit is disclosed on the order screen in advance, and your consent is obtained.
  • Credits are used starting with free credits closest to expiring, then with the oldest paid purchases. You can check the usage for each order in the credit ledger.

Basis: Article 17(1) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Article 17(2), item 5 of the same Act. If a mandatory law is more favorable to consumers, that law applies.

4. Payments processed differently from the order

If a payment is processed differently from the display, advertisement or order details as described below, you can withdraw from the purchase regardless of whether you have used the credits. You must do so within 3 months of the date you received the credits, and within 30 days of the date you learned or could have learned of the fact.

  • Duplicate charges or unauthorized payments
  • The payment was completed but the ordered credits were not granted
  • The product or credit quantity shown on the order screen differs from what was actually granted
  • You could not use credits normally because of a service outage, and other statutory grounds

5. Refund amount and credit handling

  • For withdrawal from the purchase of unused credits, the refund amount is the order amount (excluding tax) multiplied by the share of the purchased paid credits that you have not used. Polar refunds the tax charged at payment at the same share.
  • When a refund is processed, we reclaim paid credits from that order in the same proportion that the refund amount (excluding tax) bears to the order amount (excluding tax). Fractions of less than 1 credit are rounded down. We reclaim credits from the unused credits of that order first.
  • If a refund also covers credits you have already used, for example because of a payment error, those credits remain subject to reclaim and are deducted first from credits granted later. The operator does not demand payment in cash for these credits.
  • After the withdrawal period has passed, we review refund requests for unused paid credits under the applicable laws and the Fair Trade Commission's Standard Terms for Digital Content, and we will tell you the result.
Example: For a product priced at 9,900 KRW (including tax), the amount excluding tax is 9,000 KRW. If you have not used 250 of the 500 credits, we refund 4,500 KRW excluding tax plus the corresponding tax of 450 KRW, for a total of 4,950 KRW, and we reclaim 250 credits. The actual tax varies by the country of payment and Polar's calculation. Amounts are calculated in the currency shown on the order screen at purchase (KRW, USD, MYR, PHP or SGD); the example above is in won.

6. Cancelling Slowplay Pass

Slowplay Pass ("Pass") and Slowplay Pass x2 ("Pass x2") are subscriptions that renew automatically every week, month or year. If you do not cancel, the fee for the next period is charged to the same payment method when the usage period ends. The price, renewal, payment failure, plan change and price change procedures follow "Slowplay Pass subscription" in the terms of service. Pass and Pass x2 do not grant credits, so the credit refund calculation and recovery below do not apply, and in this section and the next, "Pass" also means Pass x2. The Founder 10-year pass, which is paid once, has nothing to cancel and follows "Withdrawal and refunds for the Founder 10-year pass" below.

  • You can cancel at any time in the Polar customer portal, which opens from the subscription management button on the Credits page, and we do not require a procedure harder than signing up. If you cannot use the button, please ask at js@lysners.com.
  • After you cancel, you are not charged from the next renewal, and you can keep using your Pass benefits until the end of the usage period you have already paid for.
  • Cancelling only stops later renewals. Cancelling alone does not refund the fee for a usage period you have already paid for, and refunds follow the criteria in “Slowplay Pass withdrawal and refunds” below.
  • If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged anything, and you can use the Pass benefits until the trial ends. If you cancel after the trial has ended and the first payment has been made, the cancellation applies from the next renewal, as described above.

7. Slowplay Pass withdrawal and refunds

  • If you have not used the Pass within 7 days of the first payment date (or within 7 days of the start date, if you could start using the Pass later than the payment), you can withdraw from the purchase, and we refund the full amount you paid (including tax). This is the same for the weekly, monthly and annual plans. When we refund, we also end the subscription.
  • "Use" means you have used, even once, a feature to which the Pass's weekly allowance applies. These are an AI opponent acting in game mode or study, a coach question in a preflop drill, a question in coach chat, or reading a photo of a blind structure. This includes a use that was covered by credits after you used up your allowance. A Pass that has been used is a service whose provision has begun, so the right of withdrawal is limited. We notify you of this limit on the order screen in advance and obtain your consent. When you request a refund, the operator checks the Pass usage record on your account (the time of first use) directly and decides whether the Pass has been used.
  • If you used the Pass after the first payment, or if it is a renewal payment, we do not refund the fee for a usage period that has already started. We also do not give a pro-rata refund for the remaining months of an annual Pass. The exceptions are the cases below and the cases that a mandatory law more favorable to consumers requires.
  • We do not accept a refund request made after the 7 days unless a refund is due under the laws cited below, and if you make a request, we will review whether it applies and tell you the result.
  • If Polar directly refunds an order made within 60 days of purchase to prevent a chargeback, the related subscription is also ended, and your Pass benefits may stop.
  • Withdrawal and refunds for credit packs stay exactly as in the credit criteria above, and they do not affect cancellation or refunds of a Pass, or the other way around.
  • For a Pass with a free trial (the 3-day trial for accounts subscribing to a weekly, monthly or annual plan for the first time), use during the trial does not count as "use", and the 7 days are counted from the day the trial ends and the first payment is made. If you have not used Pass after the first payment, we refund the full amount under the criteria above. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged, so there is nothing to refund. If the trial did not apply because the email or card, for example, was already used for a trial, and payment was made immediately, the 7 days are counted from the payment date. Pass x2 and the Founder pass have no free trial, so the 7 days are counted from the payment date.
  • A plan change follows "Plan changes" in the terms of service. A change down from Pass x2 to Pass and a change that only alters the billing cycle take effect from the next renewal and are not refunded. A refund request after you upgrade from Pass to Pass x2 and Polar charges the difference immediately also follows the criteria above, and an account that has already used Pass is treated as having used it. Buying the Founder pass does not stop the subscription from being charged. To stop the subscription, you must cancel it, and a refund of the Founder pass does not affect the subscription.

For a payment processed differently from the order details as described below, you can request a refund even if you have used the Pass, within 3 months of the date you started using it and within 30 days of the date you learned or could have learned of the fact. We set the refund amount at the amount that corresponds to the payment in question or the period you could not use, and we will tell you the result.

  • Duplicate charges or unauthorized payments
  • A renewal payment was charged after you cancelled, or because the cancellation was not processed correctly
  • The payment was completed but the Pass was not activated
  • You could not use the Pass benefits normally because of a service outage, and other statutory grounds

Basis: Article 17(1) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Article 17(2), item 5 of the same Act, Article 17(3) of the same Act. If a mandatory law is more favorable to consumers, that law applies. Requests and processing follow “How to request” and “Processing and payout” below, and please include in your request your account email, the details in your Polar subscription or order confirmation email, and the payment date.

Legal review status: The proviso to paragraph 2, item 5 of the same Article provides that the limit on withdrawal does not apply to the part of a divisible service whose provision has not begun. Korean legal counsel has not finished the final review of whether the remaining period of a subscription divided by time, in particular an annual Pass, counts as such a part not yet begun under this proviso, and whether a pro-rata refund is needed after the 7 days. The same review is needed for the remaining period of the Founder pass, which is paid once to be used for 10 years, and for refund claims for reasons other than the end of the service. If a standard more favorable to consumers is confirmed, we will apply it and revise and announce this policy.

8. Founder 10-year pass withdrawal and refunds

  • The Founder 10-year pass (the "Founder pass") is a one-time payment product, so there is nothing to cancel and no next charge. The usage period is 10 years from the payment date.
  • If you have not used the Founder pass within 7 days of the payment date (or within 7 days of the start date, if you could start using it later than the payment), you can withdraw from the purchase, and we refund the full amount you paid (including tax). When we refund, the pass ends immediately and the seat is returned.
  • “Use” has the same meaning as for the Pass above, and when you ask for a refund, the operator checks the account's use record (the time of first use) directly to decide whether it has been used. A Founder pass you have used is a service whose provision has begun, so withdrawal is limited, and this limit is disclosed on the order screen in advance and your consent is obtained.
  • We do not refund a Founder pass that you have used or after the 7 days. The exceptions are the case of the end of the service below, payments processed differently from the order, and the cases that a mandatory law more favorable to consumers requires.
  • If Slowplay AI ends the service or the Pass benefits before the 10 years are over, we refund in proportion to the full months of the remaining period that you can no longer use. The refund amount is the amount paid × the remaining full months ÷ 120, and Polar refunds the tax charged at payment at the same share. When we end the service, we will tell you how to get the refund as well.
  • Example: If the amount paid is KRW 449,000 and the remaining period at the end date is 7 years, 3 months and 15 days, the full months are 87, so we refund KRW 449,000 × 87 ÷ 120 = KRW 325,525. If you paid in a tier after a price increase, that payment amount is the basis. Actual tax varies by country of payment and Polar's calculation.
  • You can request a refund within the same periods as for the Pass above for duplicate charges or unauthorized payments, for a payment that was completed but did not activate the Founder pass, and for a service outage that kept you from using the benefits normally.
  • If Polar directly refunds an order made within 60 days of purchase to prevent a chargeback, the Founder pass also ends, and your benefits may stop.
  • Withdrawal and refunds for credit packs and for the Pass do not affect the Founder pass, or the other way around. Billing and refund requests follow “How to request” and “Processing and payout” below.

9. How to request

Please send your request for withdrawal or a refund to js@lysners.com from the email address registered to your account. Include your account email, your order number (the order number in the address of the order status screen, or the details in the Polar order confirmation email), the payment date and the content of your request. You may also contact Polar, the seller, directly (support@polar.sh).

Do not send your full card number, password, date of birth or resident registration number. We ask for the minimum additional information only when it is essential to verify your identity or order.

10. Processing and payout

Once we confirm your request, the operator processes the refund for that order in Polar, and the amount is returned through Polar and its payment processor. The actual time the money reaches you may vary depending on your card issuer and payment method. When the refund result is reflected in your account, credits are reclaimed under the standards above.

To prevent chargebacks (disputes raised with the card issuer), Polar may directly refund orders made within 60 days of purchase. In this case, credits are also reclaimed under the same standards. Your right to dispute a charge through your card issuer is governed by the Polar buyer terms and the card issuer's rules.

11. Other policies and inquiries

This policy applies together with the Terms of Service. If mandatory laws are more favorable to consumers, those laws take precedence. Inquiries: 리스너즈(lysners) · js@lysners.com
